Shane Long: Master of the Dirty Work

Long, has yet to score this season and for a striker most fans would find that worrying until you watch him play. He does everything else that is not shown on the stat sheet and really causes problems for the defense allowing his teammates to find holes and opportunities.

I do not think Shane Long is a long term answer or partner for Danny Ings but for right now he is invaluable. If he can start adding the goals back to his game than I would be willing to say keep him starting for the rest of the season but I still believe Che Adams will be there in the long run he just needs to find his form.

I have ragged on Shane Long in the past but his work in the match against Norwich shows there is still some value to him and what he brings to the match.
