Ipswich Town 0-1 Saints, 2014/15 season

Another replay against then Championship opposition, and another winning goal from Shane Long.

This effort from the striker came much earlier in the game though and was also much more pleasing on the eye.

With 19 minutes on the clock – and in a contest that otherwise saw little goalmouth action of note – Long hooked home a first time volley as the ball fell to him in the box to send Ronald Koeman’s side through.

Saints team

Fraser Forster, Nathaniel Clyne, Florin Gardos, Jose Fonte, Ryan Bertrand, Matt Targett, Victor Wanyama (Steven Davis), James Ward-Prowse, Harrison Reed, Shane Long, Dusan Tadic (Graziano Pelle)
