Saints 1-0 Norwich City, 2016/17 season

Another 2-2 draw led to this Third-Round replay, but this time Saints got over the line….just.

The game was dominated by the hosts – with Claude Puel in the dugout – but they had to wait until the 90th minute to make it count.

A cross in from Sam McQueen met the head of Shane Long, and the Irishman bundled home to force his side into the next round after his initial header had been saved.

All this effort came with little reward though as Saints were dumped out of the FA Cup with a 5-0 loss to Arsenal in Round-Four.
