Despite Saints’ 2-1 loss to Burnley last Saturday, Ings netted his 18th goal of the season in all competitions to level the game up in the first-half.

Given even half a chance this campaign, the 27-year-old is more than likely to snap it up and add to his already superb form in 2019/20.

Unsurprisingly, Ings is Saints’ top scorer in Fantasy Premier League points this season having accumulated 135 to date.

Facing a Villa side today that looks suspect at the back and that was truly worried by Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side back in December could mean more contributions from their star man.
