Jonjo Shelvey

Shelvey is a player that Saints need to be wary of on Saturday considering that he often seems to come up with the goods against them.

The 28-year-old has three goals and three assists against them – his best goal contribution record against any club other than Norwich.

Back when Saints and Newcastle met at St James’ Park in December, Shelvey got the Magpies back into the contest when he headed in an Andy Carroll cross.

Steve Bruce’s men then went on to claim all three points from the game when Federico Fernandez netted a late winner.

Shelvey could be an important player tomorrow with his somewhat underrated ability when it comes to passing, set-piece delivery and long-range shooting.
