Michael Obafemi vs Chelsea away

Saints arrived at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day knowing that any points picked up would help hugely towards potential safety at the end of the season.

A strong November had lifted Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side out of the relegation zone, whilst a 3-1 win over Aston Villa had given them a three-point cushion on the teams below them.

31 minutes into this contest, they had the perfect start after some inspired play from Michael Obafemi.

The Irish international received a pass from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and immediately spun to advance towards the penalty area where he shifted the ball onto his left foot and dispatched a perfect finish into the far corner.

This is by far Obafemi’s best moment for Saints so far and deserves to be higher up this list – but other great individual strikes have him fifth here.
