Southampton: June fixtures and TV picks revealed ahead of restart
By Marc Walker
Southampton will play three Premier League fixtures in June as top-flight action gets back underway following the Coronavirus suspension.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side will resume their season again versus Norwich City on Friday 19th June, with the game being played live on Sky Sports’ free pick channel and kicking off at 6pm UK time.
They will then face Arsenal on Thursday 25th June, with kick-off again at 6pm UK time but the action being screened on one of Sky Sports’ subscriptions channels.
Sunday 28th June then sees Saints play Watford. This fixture will again be on Sky Sports free-to-air, and kick-off will be 4:30pm UK time (information via skysports.com)
Meetings with Norwich and Watford were next on Saints’ fixture list before football was postponed back in March. This means that the original schedule will be kept, although the Arsenal game has been placed in between those two clashes as one that had to be rearranged anyway.
In all, it looks like a tough opening spell for all Premier League clubs as they cram games in to get the 2019/20 campaign finished.

Players should be able to get back up to speed fairly quickly having been training from home, but it will be match fitness which is most important to regain.
Conditions will also vastly different to the last time Saints played a top-flight match.
It’s now almost three months since their last fixture – a 1-0 loss to Newcastle – and this was in front of a packed St Mary’s crowd.
When they return, they will be playing in empty stadiums and in the heat of the English summer as opposed to the mixed weather of the early spring.
Venues for fixtures are also yet to be confirmed, meaning that neutral grounds are still on the agenda.
One thing that Saints could have in their favour for the rest of the season is their lack of other commitments.
No less than eight Premier League clubs are still involved in the FA Cup, whilst others are still involved in European competitions that are yet to be played to conclusion.
