Midfielders

James Ward-Prowse, Central-Midfield – 7

Another very good all-round performance from the new team captain

Oriol Romeu, Central-Midfield – 7

Dictated the play at times and showed that he can be Hojbjerg’s replacement even if a new signing is brought in.

Nathan Redmond, Attacking-Midfield – 6

Some good moments but largely inconsistent. Needs a break and some refinement to enable him to get back to his best, most dangerous self.

Gets an assist to his name after setting up Ings’ opener.

Stuart Armstrong, Attacking-Midfield – 6

A quiet afternoon for someone who is normally a lot more busy around the opposition penalty area. This has something to do with Bournemouth having most of the ball though.
