According to a report from the Sunday Mirror (via the Stoke Sentinel), Gunn could move to Stoke in a swap deal involving Potters goalkeeper Jack Butland.

Fraser Forster’s arrival back at Saints prompted a decision from the club on who they would ship out on loan and it appears that Gunn will be on his way.

Leeds United are also said to have registered their interest in taking the 24-year-old to compete for their number one jersey, but it remains to be seen where he will end up before deadline day.

Gunn made 13 appearances for Saints in 2019/20 but lost his place in the starting line-up after conceding nine goals against Leicester.
