Jorge Fernandes

According to the Daily Mail, Fernandes is being tracked by Saints, Newcastle and Fulham.

However, the £16m price tag put on his head now after Vitoria picked him up for just £225,000 (via transfermarkt) in the summer may put some suitors off.

For Saints, a centre-back in like Fernandes may not be the move that they want to prioritise in this January window but it is very possible that they are tracking him as a potential future signing.

The 23-year-old has played 12 times for Vitoria this season and helped guide them to 12th place in the Portuguese Primeira Liga at the time of writing.
