Midfielders

Ibrahima Diallo, Central-Midfield – 9

Just his second Premier League start but an excellent performance against the league champions. Calm in possession – even when he was being harassed by opponents.

James Ward-Prowse, Central-Midfield – 9

Led the team superbly once again. The heartbeat of this team and has the club running through his veins.

Stuart Armstrong, Attacking-Midfield – 8

Supported Bertrand brilliantly on the left in the second-half. A player who sums up the energy that is required to play under Hasenhuttl.

Moussa Djenepo, Attacking-Midfield – 7

Bright start to the game but picked up an injury in the first-half and was visibly distraught having had so many injuries to contend with since arriving at St Mary’s. You have to feel for him.
