Southampton: Four soon out-of-contract forwards Saints could target

Saints have been heavily linked with Gray during this January transfer window and will be wanting to take advantage of his contract situation.

The 24-year-old joined Leicester City back in 2016 but has fallen well down the pecking order in Brendan Rodgers’ squad this season

For that reason, he will be looking for a fresh start somewhere else with his current deal with the Foxes expiring in June.

Given that Saints and Ralph Hasenhuttl have revitalised the careers of other players like Theo Walcott and Kyle Walker-Peters, a switch to St Mary’s could be what is needed for the former England youth international.
