Manager, Goalkeeper and Defenders

Ralph Hasenhuttl, Manager – 6

Made the changes he had to in the hope of sparking a reaction. Hamstrung by injuries and lack of signings but he has to instigate a change in upcoming games against Sheffield United and Brighton

Fraser Forster, Goalkeeper – 6

Not forced into any saves but was slow to get out to the ball through to Richarlison for what proved to be the winner. It was, however, too easy for Everton to break through.

Jan Bednarek, Right-Back – 5

Tried to get forward and help the attack but just not look natural enough as a full-back. Should have reacted to Richarlison’s run for the goal.

Jannik Vestergaard, Centre-Back – 5

Like Bednarek, did not react quick enough to the attack that led to the goal. Could have done better with a late chance that fell his way.

Mohammed Salisu, Centre-Back – 4

Given a tough evening by Dominic Calvert-Lewin and looked troubled for most of the game.
