Midfielders

James Ward-Prowse, Central-Midfield – 6

Consistently decent performances but needs to show his leadership qualities to help his teammates out of this mess.

Stuart Armstrong, Central-Midfield – 7

Out of position really but performed well. Came into the game late on when his driving runs forward produced some promising moments.

Moussa Djenepo, Attacking-Midfield – 7

His performances of late have been a bright point. A goal late on would have been just rewards for his efforts but he snatched at the chance.

Nathan Redmond, Attacking-Midfield – 4

Shows promise as a striker and gives Saints something different there, but he is very one-dimensional as a left-winger and does not play his best football there anymore.
