More depth and quality

Ralph Hasenhuttl has already made reference to it but Saints must add more options to their squad in the summer.

They went into this campaign with a tight squad and even allowed some first-team players to leave on loan in January, meaning things got difficult for Hasenhuttl to manage when injuries arrived and form dipped.

At the moment, Saints are reliant on their first-choice 11 being fit. Beyond that it becomes more of a task to keep up consistent levels of performance.

Two players must be competing for each place in the starting line-up, with talented youngsters ready to fill in if and when needed.
