Brighton Dunk on Saints

Despite the Seagulls’ victory they are still just two points in front of Fulham, who were currently in the drop zone. Graham Potter’s side needed all three points and they came ready to fight for them.

The visitors made the breakthrough just past the quarter of an hour mark, as Fraser Forster is forced to turn the ball behind for a corner. Pascal Groß delivers an excellent ball into the box which is met by the quick thinking Lewis Dunk.

The Brighton man all too easily rises above Ryan Bertrand before firing a bullet header past a diving Forster. The hosts’ defending wasn’t great but this was still a superbly headed goal well outside the six yard box.

To their credit the red and white army took going behind well and were quick to make their response.
