Josh Griffiths

According to Football Insider, Griffiths is interesting Saints after his successful loan spell in League Two with Cheltenham Town.

The 19-year-old is a West Brom player and they will be monitoring is progress closely after their relegation to the Championship, but he is unlikely to be first-choice at the Hawthorns for a while yet given his relative inexperience.

The 2020/21 campaign saw Griffiths gain promotion from League Two as Cheltenham Town were crowned fourth-tier champions. He played a key part in this success too by playing no less than 50 games in all competitions and keeping 23 clean sheets in the process.

Looking at his age and his potential to get even better in the future, Griffiths would be an ideal signing for Saints. However, he will not be happy being stuck as third-choice and not playing senior football having had a taste of it with Cheltenham.

West Brom and Cheltenham will both be key players in this situation too and may believe they can provide Griffiths with the games that will be so vital to him at this stage.
