Player of the Season

Daniel:  James Ward-Prowse

Bit of a cop-out picking the squad’s best player, but I truly don’t see anyone making the impact JWP likely will have. He could be the difference between a 10-12th place squad and a relegation battle.

Joe: Nathan Tella

I’m expecting a breakout season for the attacker, sure to enthrall the faithful.

Alastair: Stuart Armstrong

Stu oozes class and is key to the way Saints tick. If he can add some more goals to his all-around game, he could be the difference between Saints having an ok season and a great season.

Marc: James Ward-Prowse

Hopefully we have a number of players like the Armstrongs, Tella, Adams and Salisu in the running for this award by the end of the season, but I can’t see past another season of superb consistency and leading by example from the captain. He’s without doubt the club’s most valuable asset right now and will be key in helping the younger players reach his levels of performance this season.
