22-year-old Europa League sensation open to transfer with Saints keen

Europa League's rising prospect Besfort Zeneli has given his nod to any future summer offers where Southampton are also waiting in the wings.

Championship heavyweights are notoriously popular for raiding their mid-table counterparts for talented players, but that is an alienated ideology when it comes to Southampton. Instead, the Saints either scout emerging names at reputed clubs or travel the European route for their squad-planning needs.

To begin with, it's strange considering they have been surrounded by the second-division scenery more than the ones at the premier European competitions. Recently, they implemented these tactics to initiate another attempt for Fotis Ioannidis.

But avoid those cloud nine feelings, Southampton fans, because a player's agreement is a must-have for any deal to go through. And that balance can quickly shift for the worse, from the Saints point of view, as soon as the Premier League offers start to kick in.

Zeneli might not hesitate to play Championship

As such, Southampton requires willing-to-join players in the first place and one of them can be found playing in the Swedish top-flight according to EFL Analysis.

It's Besfort Zeneli who appeared affirmative to transfers as quoted by the Expressen: "Yes, a little bit. For a year I have played continuously, made good performances, been in the national team twice. That counts. But I'm not in a hurry."

Certainly, it's early doors to predict how much Zeneli could gel in well into the first team but a Mateus Fernandes-like progress could be possible. The latter also left Sporting pretty soon, where he might have stepped up to become a regular mainstay in the coming years.

Likewise, Zeneli has also crossed the adaptability barrier in Swedish senior football and replicating the same in England's second-division could be better for his career too. So far, no bids or potential transfer fees have come to light but Southampton should be capable of meeting the financial demands if both clubs can reach a breakthrough.
