Southampton has been tipped to replicate prodigy Harwood-Bellis' success with Manchester City's upcoming star, Juma Bah.

Let's be honest, all of us Saints fans were taken a step back hearing the club's stance on new signing Quarshie. But while our concern about the centre-back shortage was real, we must admit that Quarshie needs development before first-team integration.

That's why Southampton's scenario needs a first-team reinforcement to accompany Quarshie's loan, making the perfect possible case for the Saints.

This may feel like a tricky defender search, but Southampton may have its troubles resolved if they recall their action plan from 2 years ago. It's repeating the case of Taylor Harwood-Bellis with another Man City prodigy.

Similar to the current situation, Southampton's defence needed help ahead of the 2023/24 campaign when loanee Harwood-Bellis changed everything for them. Within games, the then 21-year-old emerged as a defensive leader for the Saints, earning a guaranteed starter spot.

But while the defender is expected to leave this summer, the Saints must replicate the proven blueprint of Harwood-Bellis' success with another Man City prodigy, Juma Bah.

That's why Football League World views Bah as one of Southampton's must-do signings to get the perfect Championship headstart.

Southampton must agree Man City to Juma Bah's loan deal

A young uprising name with a profile like Harwood-Bellis, Bah has the potential to become a Premier League-level starter for the Saints. And what better than him being reunited with a familiar face in Will Still at Southampton?

Interestingly, Bah had become a regular under Still while on a winter loan at Lens in the final stages of the season. But should Southampton sign the 19-year-old, Bah can continue where he left it at Lens with a reunion with boss Still again.

But the best part is yet to come. Having a reputation as a talent feeder, Southampton can easily tempt Man City into a loan for Bah this summer.

Overall, Bah's case has everything Southampton currently needs. Let's hope he ends up at St. Mary's, emerging as the perfect successor of former Man City prodigy Harwood-Bellis.
