Wolves
Following the Everton fixture, Southampton will visit bottom placed Wolves for another away Premier League fixture. These two teams are currently level on points but the Saints are nineteenth due to their better goal difference as compared to Gary O'Neil's side.
Wolves have bolstered their squad with new signings such as Andre, Sam Johnstone and Jorgen Strand Larsen, however similar to Southampton, they have also underperformed in the beginning of the season despite the talent and quality in their squad. Wolves played a 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest in the third matchday and have faced massive defeats against Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle United in their first seven league matches.
However, Gary O'Neil's side have scored more than twice the number of goals as compared to Southampton and in-form forwards Matheus Cunha and Jorgen Strand Larsen have started the season in a good goalscoring form. Hence, Southampton will need to form a rock solid defence in this fixture to take some important points from this match.
