Southampton's fond hero Sadio Mané has built the groundwork for him and his compatriots to soon flock together to compete in a hat-trick of World Cups.

Spending the last two weekends with a negligible shade of club football must have turned Southampton fans towards binging on some old St. Mary's classics. Three more days need to be spent, and for those running out of match ideas, it's never a regrettable watch to tune in for a Sadio Mané masterclass.

Like his jet-heeled hat-trick, the left sided attacker's reputation to turn a bad evening into some wonderful nights is nearly second to none.

During the opening weeks of August, the 33-year-old was putting up miserable shows, like dropping a lacklustre penalty and making him appear rather thankful to his other on-field companions.

Now, he isn't the top megastar for all squads he lines up for but his difference maker's pedigree highlights well, like it should be. Liverpool fans may resist themselves from saying it, or maybe not but £34m for Mané has got to be a bargain that hails from Southampton's books.

Mané makes Saints proud with hat-trick of World Cup berths

Presently, top-flight hotshots often clock away close to double the funds Mané helped pile on the Saints table. If your thoughts aren't on this same page, then his latest earned accolade in his country's colours will flip your beliefs for the better.

As documented in a FIFA report, Mané has powered Senegal to seal a 2026 World Cup berth, and the commendable part is that the forward has ensured a hat-trick of these qualifications.

The Saudi first-division can be one answer, and probably the only milestone Mané is yet to check mark in his career.

Should he lift that silverware, the former Southampton hero can walk into retirement with very minimal "wish I could have done this" moments.
