Aaron Ramsdale's encouraging Premier League plan seems a far-fetched thought

Aaron Ramsdale has reflected Southampton's dressing-room morale by claiming that the Saints will even attempt to win a hat-trick of Premier League games.

When the second half of the Premier League campaign kicked-off, Southampton rivaling Derby County for the fewest points tally was considered an over-exaggerated idea. And a better evidence was provided by Aaron Ramsdale who dismissed these worries by claiming that such fears weren't the everyday talks at the club.

Now, it's a familiar trend where players often try their level best to portray a committed squad image in front of their fans. Sometimes it does bring good match results but these motivating tactics haven't worked at Southampton at all.

Subsequently, there is growing chaos surrounding the roster's Premier League capabilities and Ramsdale has again come to the club's off-field rescue.

Ramsdale thinks Derby County nervousness can be removed by winning thrice

Further, the transfer favourite number-one was quizzed about Southampton's preparations for the remaining matches to which he gave an encouraging response.

In his own words, Ramsdale was quoted by the Daily Echo: "We might win the next three, we might win the last three, we might take until the last game of the season, but I think we're going to fight for everything."

No doubt, that's a bold claim but winning three successive games sounds rather far-fetched than convincing. Given the scenario, Southampton finds them in, even a single victory will spark massive celebrations among the Saints faithful.

But that pleasant evening should come quickly otherwise dragging the circumstances to the final weeks will mean squaring off with Manchester City and Arsenal. On top of that, Ramsdale might be forced to surpass goalkeeping expectations against his former employers in the ultimate matchday.

Clearly, this isn't the easiest manner to move ahead of Derby County's infamous figure. Knowing this, let's stay optimistic that Southampton strings a win fast enough to prevent this Premier League headache from rising any further.
