VfL Wolfsburg emerges as new admirers of Danny Rohl as they look at him as an ideal fit to replace ex-Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.

It's been days since Will Still's arrival at St. Mary's, yet the smile of Southampton fans hasn't faded a bit. And rightly so, as the new boss has started winning over the fans within his initial addresses as a Saints boss.

Safe to say, at least with the first impression, Southampton's managerial hunt is en route to becoming a success after a long time now.

Well, all of us Saints supporters are content, but honestly, are still interested in the final destinations of the club's previous targets? Especially, of ex-Saints assistant manager Danny Rohl who rejected Southampton for a 2nd-term.

Truth be told, as many expected given the manager's massive ambitions of a Top Flight job, Rohl's future remains undecided. And lo! Now, there's another club that has joined his transfer race.

Seems normal for Rohl, who has expressed his Bundesliga return admiration quite often, doesn't it? Well, only until, one realizes whom he is supposed to succeed now.

VfL Wolsburg eyes Rohl to replace Ralph Hasenhuttl

In a dramatic turnaround of things that no Southampton fan would have seen coming, Danny Rohl is linked with VfL Wolfsburg to replace heroic ex-Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl.

As per Daily Mail, the German club has joined Leipzig in monitoring Rohl's transfer situation.

Admit it or not, but Danny Rohl(once Hasenhuttl's assistant at Southampton) being tipped to succeed the 57-year-old himself is an extraordinary achievement that even Saints fans wouldn't have expected to witness.

While this definitely shows what the young manager has achieved within his initial head coach role, it truly showcases what Southampton may have lost if not for another brilliant choice in Will Still.

For now, Danny Rohl's increased admirers in his homeland Germany have almost confirmed the manager's Bundesliga return. Still, would it be to Wolfsburg to succeed Hasenhuttl? Let's see.
