With a cheeky 1-0 scoreline, Burnley has knocked Southampton out of the FA Cup. Still, boss Ivan Juric looked pleased with the unit's effort overall.

It's official, Southampton's slim chances of a silverware dream have crashed as well. This comes after the Saints lost to Championship side Burnley 0-1 at home.

Honestly, a loss wouldn't have intrigued the fans, but an elimination by a second-division side stings them. Naturally, being a Premier League club, this could've been the last thing they wanted.

Now, I know it sounds like covering up, but you would admit that this wasn't a terrible Saints performance at all. Only that, their toothless finishing bit them again.

Understandably, boss Ivan Juric looked frustrated post-fixture. As per the Daily Echo, Juric said: "I'm frustrated with the result. I think we did a really good performance."

Still, the blunt truth teller he is, the 49-year-old didn't hesitate to point out Southampton's poor show upfront. In his words: "We were really bad to score the goal. We had lots of moments, lots of chances, lots of free-kicks near their area and we weren't able to score."

Clearly, Southampton's loss has come tough for the fans, but the harsh truth being told, the Saints deserved it.

It's simple, you can't score if your priority attacking duo goes silent. Though Sulemana and Dibling have recently recovered, yet, their performances can't be simply justified.

For a moment, still, Sulemana looked exciting, but Tyler Dibling's struggle upfront disheartened every Saints fan. In fact, Southampton's best talent was the worst performer for them last night.

However, there's no smartness crying over the result again and again. Instead, the Saints should look forward to improving their youth attack setup in crunch situations.

An unpopular opinion, if Southampton's frontline starts clicking to convert key chances, most of their problems would get solved. Don't you think likewise?
