Recently, transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Ajax will not complete the season long loan transfer signing of Southampton's Kamaldeen Sulemana in this summer transfer window. On the final day of the transfer window, Eredivisie side Ajax approached the Saints about signing 22-year-old left winger Kamaldeen Sulemana on a loan move for this season. Their need for a left sided forwards stems from the transfer of Netherlands star Steven Berwijn, who recently joined Saudi Pro League side Al Ittihad for a transfer fee of £26 million in this summer transfer window.

Southampton also agreed on this move hoping that Sulemana performs well at Ajax so that they can receive a significant transfer fee for their £22 million signing. Since arriving at the St. Mary's Stadium in January 2023 after two good seasons playing for French side Rennes, Sulemana hasn't been a great performer for the Saints and has only made six goal contributions in 44 appearances for Southampton. Therefore it was a great opportunity for Sulemana to showcase his high potential at Ajax and get more first team experience to improve himself to become a better forward.

Now, Ajax manager Francesco Farioli has spoken about the Kamaldeen Sulemana transfer situation, saying,

"We lost two players and had the situation with the player coming in. It was a bit chaotic and it generated a bit of frustration for all the people involved.

This is clear. We are now in a point in the road where we can cry about what happened or we can look for a solution."
