Cameron Archer explains his finishing instinct before facing Manchester United

Recently, it was revealed that new signing Ben Brereton Diaz, who is featuring for his national team Chile, can miss the Manchester United match. This is due to the fact that Chile will play their second FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Bolivia after their 3-0 recent defeat against Argentina, and therefore, Diaz will have to return quickly to Southampton as the two matches will be played between two days. Thus, if Diaz plays the full match against Bolivia, he may be not be fully recovered to play Manchester United two days later.
Hence, this is a big chance for Southampton's young star Cameron Archer to start the home fixture against Erik Ten Hag's side. Archer joined the Saints from Aston Villa this summer and recently scored a brace for Southampton in the thrilling 5-3 win over Championship side Cardiff City in the Carabao Cup. In the three league matches, Archer came on as a second half substitute for Russell Martin's side and made some great advancing runs inside the box.

Further, his finishing is top quality as he scored two brilliant goals against Cardiff City, which is impressive about his playing style as a centre forward. Now, speaking before the Manchester United match about his finishing, Archer said,
"It's my instinct really."

Archer said his instinct helps him to make better decisions inside the box and he is excited to start the big match in the fourth Premier League matchday. Southampton still have a week before facing Manchester United and several new signings such as Ryan Fraser and Maxwel Cornet are expected to feature in the match. Now, it remains to be seen whether Ben Brereton Diaz plays against Manchester United or manager Russell Martin makes some changes in the attack.
Also, Southampton will be aiming to put an impressive performance and take some points from this match.
