The international break is coming and the club football will resume after that this month. Southampton have faced three defeats in this Premier League season and now will need to improve their performance in the upcoming matches. Meanwhile, some Southampton stars will be representing their nation in international fixtures for the next two weeks.

One of them is left back Kyle Walker Peters, who can feature for the England national team in their upcoming international matches. Kyle Walker Peters made his England debut in March 2022 under former manager Gareth Southgate after his impressive displays for the Saints. Last season, the versatile fullback was in fine form again, as he made a total of six goal contributions and helped the Saints in keeping eleven clean sheets in the Championship.

With his brilliant performances for Russell Martin's side, several Premier League teams such as Newcastle United and West Ham were interested in signing the 27-year-old in this summer transfer window. Now, he could very soon feature for the national team as well, with interim England manager Lee Carsley has named him on his standby list in the England squad. Speaking about the fullbacks that can play for England in this international break, Carsley said,

"Trent Alexander-Arnold and a lot of modern-day full-backs have got attributes that almost turn them into midfielders.

As has Rico Lewis and Kyle Walker-Peters. I watched Kyle the other day. They are all very comfortable in possession, playing forwards and receiving the ball."

This signifies Kyle Walker Peters's growing stature as one of the best versatile fullbacks in the Premier League. Also, Southampton have made a great decision to not listen to any offers for the former Tottenham Hotspurs academy talent. In this season, Walker Peters will be a key player again for Russell Martin's side who want to improve their performance in the league by winning their upcoming matches.
