Southampton will welcome Finn Azaz back into the starting lineup at Swansea City as Southampton aim to make it 19 matches undefeated in Wales this afternoon.

Tonda Eckert is expected to make five changes from the team that beat Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday.

Predicted Southampton lineup (4-2-3-1)

Goalkeeper and defenders

Goalkeeper - Daniel Peretz: Southampton’s best goalkeeper in years had a day on the beach against Blackburn Rovers despite being called into action late on.

Right back - James Bree: The English full back has been brilliant since returning from his loan at Charlton, and suits the profile Tonda Eckert needs on the right-hand side. Bree was rested for the second half against Blackburn.

Centre back - Taylor Harwood-Bellis: The first defender on the team sheet, Harwood-Bellis played the second half at right-back against Blackburn Rovers, as Tonda Eckert had the temerity to rest Bree for the entire second half.

Centre-back - Jack Stephens: Jack Stephens is bang in form now and will continue in what has become an established back four. Who would have thought it!

Left-back - Ryan Manning: Manning was another player given a short rest against Blackburn on Tuesday. He should be back in from the start today.

Midfielders

Centre midfield - Flynn Downes: Flynn Downes will be back in for the trip to South Wales. His battling qualities and odd goal contributions have made him undroppable.

Centre midfield - Caspar Jander: Jander is partnered with Downes, like port with cheese. Jander offers a more sophisticated style of play than his midfield partner, but relies on Downes' more robust, mature defensive attributes when he gets caught upfield.

Attackers

Right attacking midfield - Kuryu Matsuki: Tom Fellows may have to settle for a place on the bench at Swansea. Matsuki has been Tonda Eckert's go-to player against some of the better Championship teams, particularly away from home.

Central Attacking midfield - Finn Azaz: Eckert's teams rarely start without Finn Azaz in the starting eleven. Azaz's inclusion is a given after recovering from injury.

Left attacking midfield - Léo Scienza: Scienza didn't need long to contribute an assist on Tuesday night for Cameron Archer. It would be a big surprise if Scienza didn't start but their is strength in depth on the Southampton left.

Striker - Ross Stewart: Expect Stewart to resume as the lone striker. Saints might expect to dominate the ball at Swansea rather than counterattack. This should suit the lochness Drogba more than the Canadian.
