The Head Coach is unlikely to make any significant changes to the team that started the match on Wednesday against Sheffield United. However, he has some key decisions to make. Here's how Tonda's starting eleven could look for today's South Coast derby.
Formation: 4-2-3-1
Goalkeeper and Defenders

Goalkeeper - Daniel Peretz: Peretz is already proving a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde character between the sticks. As equally kamikaze as he is, a brilliant shot stopper, he is unlikely to be one to settle the nerves.
Right-Back - Elias Jelert: The Dane put in an excellent shift against Sheffield United. A mistake late on was the only slight blemish on an otherwise positive performance. Could start even if Eckert reverts to 3-4-3.
Centre-Back - Taylor Harwood-Bellis: Proving to be Southampton's most consistent player after a slow start to the season. Expect him to be up for this one, complete with crew cut and angry scowl.
Centre-Back - Jack Stephens: The obvious choice alongside Harwood-Bellis is the captain and club man, Stephens. It's a derby, and Southampton will need players who know what that means to the fans. There will be nowhere to hide out there today, and that's often what brings out the best of Stephens.
Left-Back - Welington: The Brazilian was arguably the player of the match against Sheffield United, where he put in a big shift. Fitness will play a role in his selection ahead of Manning, so it wouldn't be a surprise if the latter is included. Decision made. Welington to start.
Midfielders

Centre Midfield - Flynn Downes: Downes may well be at the top of the list of players most likely to receive a yellow card, but he's a key player in Eckert's midfield. Depending on fitness and how the game is going, Downes could be restricted to 60 minutes. Shea Charles will be chomping at the bit to get on.
Centre Midfield - Caspar Jander: Jander was much better against Sheffield United and got forward into promising positions in the first half. Like Downes, Jander may be rested later on with Cameron Bragg ready to change the game if required.
Attackers

Attacking Midfield Left - Léo Scienza: Eckert may be a little reluctant to throw the Brazilian into the cauldron of a derby match, but Saints have little choice. Scienza is a match-winner and a big game player. The games, for these two clubs, don't come much bigger than this one.
Attacking Midfield Right - Tom Fellows: A player who has been rested enough to start, Fellows will be raring to go against Pompey today. Don't expect him to last the ninety, though, and Eckert will need ear defenders when he predictably takes him off after 75 minutes, especially if the result is in the balance.
Attacking Midfield Centre - Finn Azaz: Azaz's languid style and inability to hold the ball up are making him unpopular with sections of the fanbase. However, he is the one player (Bragg aside) who can make a decisive pass from deep to unlock the Pompey defence. Eckert would be foolish to leave a weapon like that on the bench.
Centre Forward - Ross Stewart: Stewart will start up top if fit. Eckert hinted that Southampton will need some aerial threat to succeed today, in addition to playing the ball on the ground. Stewart completes an unchanged side from the team that took the field in midweek.
