4. Kuryu Matsuki vs Norwich City

Kuryu Matsuki has had to bide his time for an opportunity in the Southampton team, but the first sign of what he had to offer came in a Carabao Cup game against Norwich City in August 2025.

The Japanese playmaker let fly from distance to rocket the ball past Daniel Grimshaw, in a rare big win for Will Still’s Saints that saw them progress to the next round, where they drew Liverpool.
