While Southampton fans will already be feeling excited about the Championship season ahead, the drama of the World Cup is still providing plenty of entertainment, away from matters involving the Saints.
Erling Haaland broke Brazil hearts on Sunday night, as his brace knocked Carlo Ancelotti's gutted South Americans out, and handed Norway a richly deserved spot in the World Cup quarter-finals.
England will face Haaland and Co. this coming Saturday after their own breathless tie at the Azteca Stadium versus Mexico, with the spectacle even surpassing the most frenetic contest in the second tier.
Indeed, Thomas Tuchel's Three Lions had to dig deep to come away from the game as 3-2 victors, with a Jarell Quansah red card in the second half nearly derailing the clash.
But, England's resilience shone through, with Southampton perhaps learning a thing or two by watching the sheer determination of Tuchel's ranks, as they will have to fight for every win and point next season, as they reenter the second tier with a four point deduction.
In all the drama of the England celebrations, and the Mexico fans goading the masses of Three Lions supporters, a rogue ex-Southampton player was spotted on the back of a Three Lions shirt, as an unexpected Saints link popped up.
The ex-Southampton player on the back of a shirt
It's not unusual to see a whole array of flags at England games that show off some of the more unsung English clubs, away from the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United.
Indeed, a Sheffield United flag would be spotted, as the England players took in their raucous supporters at the full-time whistle.
Even more unusually, it was spotted that an England fan was wearing a Rickie Lambert international kit during the game on social media.

Of course, Lambert isn't a rogue individual to those of a Saints persuasion. Rather, he's widely recognised as an all-time great, with a blistering 117 goals tallied up for the South Coast giants across 235 games.
But, to see a shirt with his name on the back in such a historic stadium, considering his unmemorable England career, was a strange sight to behold, among a sea of supporters wearing their Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham jerseys.
He didn't have the best England career
Lambert definitely deserved a shot at playing for his country, with 232 goals falling into his back pocket across a very impressive career.
However, he didn't exactly go on to have a Three Lions calling that rivals that of Kane's or Bellingham's, with both players scoring the crucial goals to secure Tuchel and Co's passage to a exciting World Cup quarter final.
Instead, he would pick up just 11 England caps in total, with three goals coming his way against Scotland, Moldova, and Ecuador.
He would feature at the World Cup in 2014, but his minutes would be limited as England crashed out at the group stage, with only two minutes afforded to him in the Brazilian heat.
Being knocked out of the World Cup was even regarded as "the worst moment of his career" by Lambert, when he recollected on his whirlwind career in 2014.
Clearly, the fan pictured is a Southampton supporter, as well as a Three Lions advocate, as several of the current Saints camp such as Taylor Harwood-Bellis one day dream of playing in such a once-in-a-life tournament for their country.
