Samuel Edozie opts to re-join forces with fellow left attacking teammate

Samuel Edozie has selected his new playground for the upcoming season, and there, he will find one of his old attacking partners sharpening his scoring instincts.

What will Samuel Edozie decide, that's a relatable question every Southampton fan has tried to answer in the past few days by slotting themselves into the former's position. Sooner or later, every wait reaches its end and the current moment is for the 22-year-old's future.

In his own words, Sacha Tavolieri said: "Sam Edozie chose for Club Brugge. Seduced by the project, Edozie wants to return in JPL before step up to a Top 5 League, like Racing Strasbourg."

At club level, the Saints have their own concerns swirling up with Edozie's verdict. To begin with, they have to strain their warm business relations with Ligue 1 side Strasbourg who will be unimpressed for all the futile hopes they were carrying for the attacker.

Secondly, Edozie isn't commanding to avoid Strasbourg's money instead it's some Chelsea funds lost for Southampton. The Blues don't penny-pinch on raw and promising stars, thus, the Saints could have capitalised on some sell-on potential like Max Alleyne's.

Edozie has taken a familiarly competitive route at Club Brugge

For Edozie, he is inviting some regular competition on his legs but that nemesis is none other than a known Manchester City contact to him. It's Carlos Forbs, who always challenged the now Southampton winger on the wide flanks, and this on-field competitive spirit will be revived as Forbs too checked in at Brugge last month.

The previous night, Edozie must have been wowed by his old attacking teammate who helped the Belgians narrow the bridge to Champions League fixtures.

Can he also put on some scintillating showings from the first weeks? Yes or not, Southampton fans will be seated to watch him.
