Southampton are after German attacker even fans will give up straightaway

Southampton's reinforcement inspiration has flown to Germany yet again, and this time fans can only pray the club refrains from a move.

Being informed of Ross Stewart's spectacular goals on Tuesday and then sitting out a sublime Adam Armstrong finish, it's all swinging opposite for Damion Downs. Southampton fans, I think the below sentiment feels the same for you.

The 21-year-old was benching the above duo when September concluded, and October feels like a timeline where Downs needs an honest reflection on what he's doing. After that, Southampton needs to be shown the mirror of how negligent they have remained in player investments.

Did the board just presume every new face will touch down into the Championship and start ramping up goals ten minutes later? Not happening that way, and the Saints' error rectification mission is as hilarious as it gets.

On one hand, they are floating in the James Ward-Prowse saga wherever it is going. Elsewhere, the board is scribbling down their next transfer which must be underlined as a "not to-do".

Southampton are circling for a German prospect despite 2 poor player starts

In a report from Sky Sports man Patrick Berger, Southampton are vying for Downs' previous partner up top, Said El Mala.

The issue isn't that El Mala's name isn't making Saints jump up in enthusiasm instead, it's the recent buys that are drawing fear in huge numbers over this touted deal.

Downs accompanied by the 27-year-old flair forward Léo Scienza have likely been unable to grasp what Still demands from them, or it's the cloudy team status they possess. They take the field when no one from the Southampton crowd expects them, and then stay idle from multiple attacking periods until they have to retreat to the sidelines.

Didn't mean to underestimate El Mala but his former Bundesliga fellows have influenced no clapping noises at St. Mary's, so it'd be better if his transfer idea is dropped.
