Tyler Dibling could become a Tottenham Hotspur player if Southampton agrees on a special transfer structure.
Currently, Southampton doesn't seem to catch a break either in the Premier League or in the transfer window. The Saints are locked in negotiations on multiple fronts and could appear like a completely changed squad next week.
Ideally, they should be working on new arrivals but they seem braced for more January sales instead. Unfortunately, Tyler Dibling remains one of them who could bid farewell to the St. Mary's in the coming weeks.
Tottenham Hotspurs are long-term admirers of Dibling and recently Manchester United have also been tipped to sign the 18-year-old. Thus, the situation has quickly escalated from Dibling would stay to which club he would prefer currently.
Understandably, Southampton couldn't resist Dibling's departure for much longer. Instead, what they could do is negotiate a better deal while they have the ball in their court.
Optimistically, the best transfer structure is on the cards, here.
Southampton could sell Tyler Dibling in January on special condition
According to a report from the Daily Echo, they have cited Paul O'Keefe mentioning that Tottenham may propose a January move for Dibling. Furthermore, that deal will include a six-month loan at Southampton to see out the current Premier League campaign.
In all honesty, this offer is a replica of the idea to buy Dibling in the summer. Still, such an agreement would ensure Tottenham that they ultimately end up securing the young attacker while avoiding a bidding battle.
Considering Southampton, this move will give them more time to search for a replacement. That player could be an academy graduate or even Dibling's teammate Sam Amo-Ameyaw.
Most importantly, having Dibling for the rest of this season would certainly entice Southampton. Currently, let's hope that this Dibling transfer saga concludes on a positive note for both the player as well as the club.
