James Bree is just over a week into his Charlton Athletic career but there he is already being branded as a replaceable transfer.
In three days, two Premier League names pushed to the margins at Southampton are set for a Championship meeting. Supposedly, both of them should not be containing their delight in the lead up to the kickoff but for one, the "joy cut short" moment could come into action.
Now, this Will Smallbone and James Bree duo has barely registered a week at their temporary destinations, and more often than not, the early days of a welcome are relaxing. Despite this, the latter has run into an issue of not being the fans' favourite, and I know it's business as usual for Bree in the last three campaigns or so.
Except for the fact that Southampton fans never outpoured these feelings for the 27-year-old's Premier League limitations but his Charlton fans are doing it in the Championship.
Bree's careless Championship decision-making can cause forgettable season
Documenting this replaceable notion around Bree, the Football League World quoted fan pundit Emma Harknett saying: "I think it's a panic signing getting Bree as we've only got him until January. I said previously, we should've gone after Fukuda, who I believe we tried to sign but Kyoto Sanga wanted more money."
Overall, the summer stances undertaken by James Bree and Southampton are liable here. Until mid August, the Saints kept control of both him and Yukinari Sugawara which depleted Bree's abroad prospects unlike his former defensive peers.
Furthermore, the Englishman must have chosen a club languishing in the upper ranges of the Championship to give himself a fighting chance for the playing eleven.
By that, he could have caught more recruiting eyes going forward and possibly grabbed a promotion knockouts place, which also adds up well on a loaned ace's profile.
