Southampton's in-form star Shea Charles has been backed to go four times up in transfer value as compared to the one Saints paid to secure his talent.
Before checking into the final Brighton friendly, Southampton fans will be holding out hope for squeezing the maximum momentum they can for a fixture-packed August. Barring the defensive department, the rest of the players are well drilled and thus, a good game there will have some Premier League teams tracking their progress with a view to an early next summer's transfer.
That will be a good cash-in season for Southampton and much flourishing than during previous Premier League return. Because, let's admit it, Che Adams and Stuart Armstrong were never going to be zero value transfers in an ideal world.
So, who can be the most marketable Saint based on what they have done so far? Probably, they can be the invaluable Mateus Fernandes and Tyler Dibling duo but there is another candidate being name-dropped for a quadruple valuation boost.
Charles must be offloaded next summer at this valuation
And the added advantage is, Southampton will find it apt to collect their profits because they won't wish to see him flopping in the top flight at St. Mary's, if he indeed finds it tough to keep going there.
As quoted by the EFL Analysis, Ali Maxwell weighed in on the Not The Top 20 Podcast: "I'm actually so bullish on Shea Charles, that without wanting to over exaggerate, I would say he's maybe one or two seasons away from being considered a 50 to 60 million pound player."
Plus, by recouping the above stated transfer funds from only one player, Southampton can raise the ceiling higher for their other in-demand players. If the Saints were to utilize these fees sensibly, then the day might not be too far when Premier League survival would become the norm at the south coast outfit.
