Paul Onuachu's former club, Trabzonspor has decided to close the doors on his homecoming transfer.

With the final three matchdays left in the Premier League season, Southampton's campaign is finally approaching a close. But while an end to the season has been much longed for by the fans, are they ready for what's to come soon?

If you haven't realised, an uncertainty bigger than anything the club’s faced all season awaits them in the upcoming days. One that discloses the fortunes of their loanees, their rumoured player sales, and their ongoing transfer links.

And what's scarier, further, is the disappointing manner in which Southampton has kicked off this decisive phase.

Just hours before, the Saints had their Danny Rohl dreams shattered with the manager's final verdict, and they now face another transfer setback.

This time, Southampton's player sale plans take a massive blow as Paul Onuachu's suitors, Trabzonspor, have decided to give up on his move.

Despite having led the striker's Turkish return rumours since his memorable loan spell of 15 goals in just 21 appearances for them, Trabzonspor's president has declared his final notion on Onuachu's move now.

Trabzonspor gives up on Paul Onuachu's transfer race

Speaking to Kuzey Ekspres(as quoted by the Sport Witness), club president Dogan admitted: "Onuachu is a player who played in our team before. Southampton still insist on the same figures, we don’t have that agenda."

What this means is Southampton is now stuck with their €10m striker, whom the fans don't want, they don't want to renew, and can't even sell.

Well, with this, Southampton's hopes of two crucial homecomings crash, Rohl to the Saints and Onuachu to Turkey, both of which could've massively benefited them. And note the coincidence, Onuachu joins Rohl in the club's concern list on the same day.

And what to top it off better than all this happening just before they face Manchester City next? Maybe a humiliating loss at home is the best realistic way for Saints fans to end this disastrous week.
