Speaking about his recent senior England call-up, Southampton star Taylor Harwood-Bellis placed a particular praise on Aaron Ramsdale. He said that receiving a message from Ramsdale so soon after the squad was announced was a nice touch.
In his own words, Harwood-Bellis said: “My partner was next to me so she knew and I phoned my dad, who was very proud. He loves England and loves the fact that I played for them through the age groups. My family were ecstatic. Aaron Ramsdale messaged straight away, too, which was nice.”
Taylor Harwood-Bellis is involved in the England squad which kicks off their November international break action tonight against Greece. Then, at the weekend, England will face Republic of Ireland.
Initially, Aaron Ramsdale and Taylor Harwood-Bellis were announced in the senior squad together. It was a brilliant moment for Saints fans. However, Ramsdale has had to drop out of the squad this week, due to an injury concern.

Before the current international break, Aaron Ramsdale put in some good performances for Southampton. He kept his first clean sheet of the season against Everton, but despite the lack of clean sheets, he has been a great all-round performer for Southampton.
