Southampton welcome Henrik Pedersen's Sheffield Wednesday to St Mary's on Saturday after midweek success against QPR saw them climb the table to 19th place.
In a match where the result mattered so much more than the performance, goals from Léo Scienza and Jay Robinson ensured that the Saints left Loftus Road with all three points.
The signing of Oriol Romeu on Thursday will have given Southampton fans something to be excited about but he is unlikely to feature on Saturday.
Tonda Eckert will take charge of the first-team as interim boss for the second time hoping to build upon the success of Wednesday night in West London.

Southampton will no doubt remain unchanged. Shea Charles, Sam Edozie, Elias Jelert and Ross Stewart are unavailable. Cameron Archer is doubtful and Oriol Romeu may not be fit enough to feature.
Under-21 captain, Cameron Bragg, is injured.

Match Prediction

Tonda Eckert may need to play in a more attacking style against a Wednesday team that could be content to sit back and hit them on the counter.
However, Saints should also be wary of a high counter press. If Pederson's scouts have done their homework, they will be sure to prevent Southampton from getting on the ball and playing out from the back.
Eckert could revert to a 4-2-3-1 himself of course. It was a formation that served Southampton better against Preston and could be the better option at home on Saturday.
Crowd favourite Léo Scienza could be the difference between these two sides who would otherwise largely cancel each other out. Scienza's run and shot for Southampton's second goal on Wednesday night was Premier League class.
The best Sheffield Wednesday can hope for is that Southampton rest on their laurels and invite the press. If that happens, the owls could cause some problems of their own and in Barry Bannan they have a player of genuine quality.
The win in midweek should inject some much needed confidence into the Southampton squad. Expect them to win thin one.

Southampton 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday
