Chelsea feels on a mission to reverse their 2022 blunder by signing Southampton prodigy Tyler Dibling permanently.

Around a month and a half ago, Bella-Kotchap's ambition had Southampton finally feel like undoing their flop transfer run from the 2022/23 season. And ultimately, breaking away from the shackles of a poor business that laid the foundation for a disastrous spell ahead.

Undoubtedly, the series of flop signings beginning with Bella-Kotchap has been an unforgettable memory for the fans. But what most of them would have forgotten was how fortunate they were to get a major blunder autocorrected that summer.

We're talking of Tyler Dibling's full circle transfer in 2022 that has proved to be a miracle for the Saints.

Ahead of the 2022/23 season, Southampton sold Dibling permanently to Chelsea's youth team for a meagre fee. However, the Saints were lucky enough to get the teenager back, who failed to gel in the Blues' surroundings and returned only after a month.

To Southampton's fortune, they struck a goldmine with Dibling at Chelsea's expense, but what's intriguing is that the Blues are more than ambitious to undo their past transfer mistake.

As per Football Transfers, Chelsea has begun considering the idea of re-signing Tyler Dibling this summer.

Dibling must cautiously decide on a Chelsea move this time

Currently, with the Blues' actual plan unclear, an initial expected fee for this transfer looks difficult to predict. But with Southampton's hard-balling stance on Dibling, any potential move will be more than enough to see the teenager in the list of their record departures.

Yet, time and again, the Saints have stood neutral to Dibling's transfer, open to both a stay and a transfer. And that's why the ultimate Chelsea return decision falls on Dibling himself.

Now, needless to remind you of his previous experiences, but Dibling has another reason to avoid giving a green light to a transfer. That's because of teammate Taylor Harwood-Bellis' fears of a Chelsea move, which had him staying at the club ultimately.

For now, nobody knows what's next in this Dibling to Chelsea rumour. But one thing's almost certain, with Southampton having the player's rights, they aren't losing in on any transfer above £30m.
