Tottenham's actions offer glimmer of hope to Tyler Dibling and Southampton

Tottenham Hotspurs don't consider Heung-min Son as an untransferable player and might approach Southampton for Tyler Dibling as the like for like replacement.

Contrary to what Southampton fans expected, the club has played it extra conservative in the initial days of the transfer window. The Saints don't want to let Mateus Fernandes go easily and aren't bowing down to West Ham's flurry of transfer interests in both Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Shea Charles.

As a result, there are fair doubts over whether Ramsdale will get his Hammers wish fulfilled before the end of the month. Well, it takes only one rumour to turn this dull transfer tide for the better and Tottenham Hotspurs have just initiated one.

According to a report from the PA news agency (via BBC), the Spurs are preparing for life without Heung-min Son. Now, that won't bother Southampton much but the replacement part is where Tottenham may come knocking the Saints door.

Dibling could follow in the footsteps of Tottenham icon Harry Kane

For nearly a decade, Son has been the driving force behind Tottenham's attack meaning his successor should be a world class Premier League talent. This is where Tyler Dibling enters, a wide attacker who has caught the Londoners attention for months.

Plus, turning to Southampton won't be a helpless stance on Tottenham's part. That's because Chelsea did the same by raiding Ipswich Town for their forward needs and never shied away from talking Southampton into selling Lavia.

It was merely days ago when Dibling was hailed as having the same potential level as once Harry Kane had. The latter became a Tottenham legend, thus, there are heavy chances of Dibling doing that too.

Hence, Southampton should brace themselves for some incoming bids and should attempt adding as many add-on clauses as they can.
