James Ward-Prowse

After a much improved run of performances from Ward-Prowse and increased influence on the team displays, it was important that he continued in that way against Spurs.

He did just that with endless running, and contributed to his team’s attacking just as much as the defensive play. He even covered more ground throughout the 90 minutes than any other player (12.57km).

Ward-Prowse seems to be doing things with more confidence and speed at the moment, and he tested Spurs goalkeeper Michel Vorm with shots from range on a couple of occasions. One of his trademark free-kicks was also headed inches wide by Jack Stephens in the first period.
