Southampton: Five of Saints’ best ever January signings

It remains to be seen whether Southampton will be bringing any players in during the final days of this January transfer window.

Reports have perhaps hinted at the club leaving their major business until the summer whilst clearing out players such as Steven Davis, Manolo Gabbiadini, Wesley Hoedt and Cedric Soares this month.

Ralph Hasenhuttl has certainly put his faith in some of the young players that he currently has and has helped transform senior squad members such as James Ward-Prowse and Nathan Redmond.

Whilst last January saw Guido Carrillo arrive and fail to make an impact, previous winter transfer windows have seen Saints make some very good moves.
