Erik Franzo – Yan Valery (Manchester United)
This was a tough one, but I am going to go with Yan Valery’s strike against Manchester United. It was just so unexpected, and got me off the couch and running around my house in disbelief. Talk about a memorable first Premier League goal!
Beating De Gea from distance with that contact on the ball is something he will never forget. Other goals I considered were Austin’s winner versus Arsenal, Long’s record breaker, and Pierre’s clincher at Palace for first win of campaign.
