VAR correctly rules out Dunk goal

Brighton thought they had taken the lead in the 39th minute when Lewis Dunk powered a header in from a corner.

The ball flew into the centre of the goal though, and it was notable how Angus Gunn was sat on his backside as the net bulged.

Eventually, VAR would rightly rule out the goal. Television replays showed that Dan Burn was standing in front of Gunn as Dunk connected with the ball, and that he then went on to impede the Saints shot-stopper as well.

Brighton fans voiced their displeasure at the decision but can’t have many complaints.
