Djenepo nets brilliant winner

A brilliant goal from Djenepo away at Brighton had given Saints fans a glimpse of exactly what the summer signing could provide his new team over the course of a season.

With Nathan Redmond still injured for Saturday’s trip to Bramall Lane, it was a boost for Ralph Hasenhuttl and his side to have the Malian back following an injury complaint of his own.

Djenepo proved to be the match-winner after scoring a superb winning goal in the 66th minute.

He kept his feet after a challenge from a defender, side-stepped two more opponents and produced a brutal finish just when Saints needed it.

The new Mane?
