Former Southampton man Danny Rohl emerges as the favourite to land a Leicester City role as Sean Dyche's rumours fall off.

Recently, Southampton fans heard Sean Dyche's Leicester rumours and they have been laughing since then. After all, having seen the Foxes going strength to strength against them, how come they are being linked with a manager who was defeated by the Saints two times lately?

But, as has been Southampton's long story over the transfer window, the fans' happiness feels short-lived again.

That's because, the 2023/24 Championship title winners are back at it to live up to their reputations. And just when their managerial hunt felt going feeble, Leicester are rumoured to present a wildcard against Southampton's promotion push for next season.

Danny Rohl emerges as the favourite for Leicester role again

It's ex-Saints boss Danny Rohl, who emerges as an alternative to Sean Dyche's potential King Power move.

As per the Telegraph, Sean Dyche to Leicester is over by far. Simultaneously, the Foxes begin exploring Danny Rohl's option again, who despite being tipped to come for a high transfer fee, can ace their promotion charge.

Honestly, if this goes through, Southampton fans will be affected the most, who haven't been over, grinning at Sean Dyche's links yet. But what's intriguing is this switch feels more than likely now.

Hardly any fan would be unknown to Rohl's transfer struggle this summer. Having missed a ton of clubs this summer, the manager has been vying to complete an exit. And what better than if he resolves his hunt by bagging a promotion favourite Leicester job, with whom he has been linked before as well?

But, if Rohl completes this complete rumour circle finally, it could be an end to a rollercoaster ride for Southampton fans. Needless to say, it can be the worst possible end to a saga they have followed closely than their own club at times.

Anyway still, this must heat up the St. Mary's as they look to avenge their ex-assistant coach the next time he arrives at the stadium. A Will Still masterclass to downturn Leicester's brilliant track record? We will all hope for this.
