Kyle Walker-Peters calls Saints icon James Ward-Prowse hilarious, which would catch fans off guard, being familiar with only his extremely professional personality.

Admit it or not, despite a slight fallout with Kyle Walker-Peters, the veteran's recent move has all Saints fans smiling. But honestly, it's been for nothing but for his reunion with ex-Saints hero James Ward-Prowse.

After all, while the St. Mary's faithful foresaw a heroic meetup coming, hardly any fan would have seen Ward-Prowse and KWP crossing paths.

And what's interesting? While the duo will soon link up on the pitch again, their off-the-field chemistry has tuned in sync already.

Kyle Walker-Peters makes less known Ward-Prowse claim

That's because, though having concluded on a sour note with Southampton, Walker-Peters didn't hesitate to speak fondly of Saints icon Ward-Prowse. Not only that, but surprisingly, the full-back took a friendly tease on Ward-Prowse as he revealed something unheard of about the Saints icon.

As stated on West Ham's official website, new signing KWP talked of Ward-Prowse, saying: "I'm excited to be around Prowsey again. A lot of people probably don't know that hs hilarious."

Honestly, for the Saints fans aware of Prowse's polite, calm nature, the first statement would gel with them perfectly. But the second statement? That's a shocker for even the most loyal supporters.

It's so because despite the midfielder's over a decade stay at St. Mary's, hardly anyone has ever seen Ward-Prowse's other side. And safe to say, having seen the loyal club man give his all on the pitch, delivering masterclass set pieces day in and day out, this identity of his personality has never been tapped into.

Ask any supporter, and probably the most he can say of Ward-Prowse's overall character would be that he is a quiet, introverted person who loves his own company. Well, that's what makes this new reveal about him surprising, but far more exciting.

That's because the ease of relations between KWP and Ward-Prowse would be evident as the duo kicks off the next season, bringing in their flair from the Saints days. For now, there may not be much for Southampton to follow, but surely it makes them dream of what's possible if they bring them both back to St. Mary's one day again.
