Golden boot holder will walk into Saints lineup but continues to get ousted

Southampton linked forward Joel Piroe has been viewed as a future ousted presence at Leeds. The 26-year-old will get his fair portion of opportunities now but an unmaterialized Saints move may see him being pushed to the bench in the coming months.

Watford is the next visiting destination on Southampton's league chart. While it will be an unmissable evening like the rest, the events following it are too good to be skipped.

Saints have got the yearly transfer deadline day lined for the next morning and the fanbase's complaints about the attack force, which will hopefully be less by that point.

A complete handful of finishers are due their August report cards, but so far nobody can wear a proud look on their faces. If Leeds fans will come to know this, they may crown Daniel Farke's Southampton statement visionary, which will attract further embarrassment.

Spectating this, his second division star Joel Piroe will also be unhappy with Southampton's attack-minded players. At Leeds, Piroe has been rumoured to be ousted from the starting lineup all summer and thus, occasional links to St. Mary's felt curing both his and the Saints' headaches.

Excessive competition at Leeds but would have walked into Saints eleven

The Saints faithful don't have much to recall if any offers were negotiated but a transfer never came on the cards. For now, the Dutchman has been slotted in to headline Leeds season-first formation but these nights may be far and fewer for Piroe as the campaign deepens.

As per Transfermarkt, Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be hovering over a chance if Piroe stumbles. Further, Fotis Ioannidis cannot be dismissed as the one who can't spoil the 26-year-old's party.

Plus, his team can pull off a Burnley-type trick with the change that they might overload their number nine representation instead of the former's Southampton one.

See, there are enough web of problems involving Piroe and the Saints that are ready to be entangled even further. The best way ahead will be a better goalscoring patch falling in place for both of them and let's hope the footballing stars align for that.
